This section reports serious injury and fatal crashes in Jacksonville and the surrounding Northeast Florida counties, drawn from law enforcement and local news reports. Each report covers where and when the collision happened, which agency responded, and how many people were hurt. No report names anyone involved. Injuries from a crash often take a day or two to show up.
Injury Care Centers publishes these reports as local road safety information. We do not name the people involved in a crash, and we do not contact anyone who appears in a report.
Each report covers one collision: the road, the nearest cross street or exit, the day, the agency that responded, the vehicles involved and how many people were hurt. Reports are short by design. They are drawn from what law enforcement and local news outlets have already published, and each one names its source.
We are a medical practice, not a newsroom. Naming an injured person on a clinic website serves no purpose for that person and it can cause real harm to a family reading it. So we report the crash and not the people in it. We do not use names, ages, home towns, employers or any other detail that would identify one person, and we do not contact anyone who appears in a report. We also do not report collisions in which someone died. There is nothing useful a clinic can offer a family in that situation, and a report would only intrude on it.
Florida requires that you receive initial services and care within 14 days after a motor vehicle accident for your PIP medical benefits to be available, under Fla. Stat. s. 627.736(1)(a). Crash injuries often feel minor on day one. Get checked if you have neck or back pain, headache, dizziness, numbness or tingling, or pain that is worse the next morning. Call 911 or go to an emergency department for loss of consciousness, a worsening headache, vomiting, confusion, weakness, chest pain or trouble breathing.
