Crash injuries often feel minor on the first day. Neck or back pain, headache, dizziness, numbness or tingling, and pain that is worse the next morning are all reasons to be checked.
Under Florida's no-fault law, personal injury protection medical benefits are available only if the injured person receives initial services and care within 14 days of the motor vehicle accident, under Fla. Stat. s. 627.736(1)(a). PIP pays 80 percent of reasonable expenses for medically necessary care, within the limits that apply to the claim. A chiropractic physician can provide that initial care, so a visit to any of our clinics within 14 days meets the requirement.
