HIP PAIN

Hip pain usually means pain in the hip joint where the leg meets the pelvis. It normally signals an underlying problem. Pain can be felt in the hip, leg, pelvis, thigh, or buttock. Hip pain can be caused by disease in other areas of your body or traumatic events, such as a slip-and-fall or a car accident.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Treatment options for hip pain include medications, prescriptions, massage therapy, surgery, nerve studies, and MRIs. Our doctors will review your medical history and symptoms and provide you with the best treatment plan for your recovery. For mild injuries, we may recommend rest, ice, anti-inflammatory medications, and non-weight bearing activities. In severe cases, we will perform an X-ray or MRI to locate the source of the pain. If your hip is fractured, we may recommend surgery.
