Disk Injuries

The spine absorbs a lot of stress during daily activities, exercise, and sports. Strenuous activity can put a strain on the back and lead to a herniated disk or degenerative disk disease. A herniated disk is a common condition that can occur anywhere along the spine but most often affects the lower back or neck. Degenerative disk disease typically occurs in the neck and lower back. Disk pain is most common in the lower back where most of the movement in the spine occurs.
