Concussions

A concussion is a traumatic brain injury that affects your brain function. Effects are usually temporary but can include headaches and problems with concentration, memory, balance, and coordination. A concussion is most often caused by a sudden direct blow or bumps to the head. Concussions could stem from a slip or fall, sports injury, or a car accident. Concussions can be life-threatening, and you should visit the ER within 24 hours of a head injury to receive the proper medical treatment.
