Bio

Chiropractic Physician at Injury Care Centers

Dr. Chris Hopkins, D.C. is a chiropractic physician at Injury Care Centers Yulee, where he helps patients throughout Jacksonville and North Florida recover from pain, injury, stiffness, and mobility issues.

Dr. Hopkins’ path to chiropractic care began with his own family’s health journey. Like many families, he grew up believing healthcare was mainly about reacting after something went wrong. Over time, he discovered a different approach — one focused on supporting the body, improving function, and helping people take a more proactive role in their health.

That personal experience became the foundation for his passion as a chiropractor. Today, Dr. Hopkins works with patients who are recovering from auto accident injuries, sports injuries, slip-and-fall injuries, neck pain, back pain, soft tissue injuries, and everyday musculoskeletal discomfort.

A Personal Journey into Chiropractic Care

Dr. Hopkins did not begin his career planning to become a chiropractor. His perspective changed after his family moved to Tampa, Florida, where his wife, Cheryl, began working for a local chiropractic office.

At first, Dr. Hopkins was skeptical. He had never been adjusted and did not think chiropractic care was necessary unless someone had neck or back pain. But after watching his children respond positively to chiropractic care and learning more about how spinal function can affect movement, comfort, and overall wellness, he decided to experience chiropractic care for himself.

What started as curiosity became a turning point. Dr. Hopkins began to better understand how chiropractic care may support the body’s function, mobility, and natural recovery process. That experience helped inspire him to make a major career change and pursue chiropractic as a way to help other families.

Education and Chiropractic Background

After experiencing the impact chiropractic care had on his own family, Dr. Hopkins decided to change careers and enroll at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.

His decision was deeply personal. He wanted to help patients and families the same way his own family had been helped — by encouraging proactive care, better movement, healthier habits, and a stronger understanding of how the body works.

As a chiropractic physician, Dr. Hopkins brings that patient-focused perspective into his care. He understands that many patients come in feeling uncertain, frustrated, or overwhelmed by pain, especially after an accident or injury. His goal is to help patients understand what may be contributing to their symptoms and what steps may support their recovery.

Chiropractic Care After Auto Accidents

Auto accidents can place sudden stress on the spine, joints, muscles, ligaments, nerves, and soft tissues. Symptoms may begin immediately after a crash, or they may develop hours or days later.

Dr. Hopkins works with patients who may be experiencing:

  • Neck pain
  • Back pain
  • Whiplash symptoms
  • Headaches after an accident
  • Muscle tightness or spasms
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Shoulder, hip, knee, or extremity pain
  • Reduced range of motion
  • Stiffness after a collision
  • Numbness, tingling, or radiating pain

At Injury Care Centers, Dr. Hopkins helps evaluate accident-related symptoms and supports care plans designed around the patient’s injury, symptoms, and recovery goals.

Helping Patients Take a Proactive Approach to Health

Dr. Hopkins believes chiropractic care is not only about addressing pain after it appears. It is also about helping patients better understand their bodies and take a more active role in their health.

His own family’s transformation taught him the importance of movement, nutrition, exercise, spinal health, and consistent wellness habits. That perspective influences the way he educates patients today.

Whether a patient is recovering from an auto accident, dealing with chronic stiffness, trying to return to activity, or looking for a better understanding of their pain, Dr. Hopkins focuses on helping each person move forward with clarity and confidence.

A Chiropractic Family Helping Other Families

Chiropractic care became more than a career for Dr. Hopkins — it became a family mission.

After seeing how chiropractic care changed their family’s perspective on health, Dr. Hopkins, his daughter Summer, and his son Christopher all chose to join the chiropractic profession. His daughter, Summer, graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2019 and opened her clinic in Yulee, Florida in 2020. His son, Christopher, also changed career paths, graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2020, and opened his clinic in Cary, North Carolina.

Together, they represent a chiropractic family committed to helping other families and communities improve their health, movement, and quality of life.

Treatment Options at Injury Care Centers

Depending on the patient’s condition, Dr. Hopkins may recommend chiropractic care along with supportive therapies available through Injury Care Centers.

Treatment options may include:

These treatment options are designed to support recovery, improve mobility, reduce pain, and help patients return to normal daily activities safely.

A Patient-Centered Approach to Recovery

Dr. Hopkins understands that every patient has a different story. Some patients come in after a car accident. Others are dealing with sports injuries, chronic stiffness, back pain, neck pain, or everyday aches that interfere with work, sleep, exercise, and family life.

His approach begins with listening. During an evaluation, Dr. Hopkins may review the patient’s symptoms, injury history, pain patterns, spinal function, range of motion, mobility limitations, and recovery goals. From there, he can help determine which treatment options may be appropriate.

His goal is to help patients feel informed, supported, and actively involved in their recovery.
